The SFX-Supervisor is responsible for the planning and realization of all the special effects in film or television productions. He works closely with the director, cameraman and VFX Supervisor.

He coordinates and manages the SFX sequences on the set employing often complicated technology and specialized machinery to achieve scripted SFX.
