Normal Style (lighting)
In photographic terms, Normal Style refers to the even illumination of a scene. Both in the light (lights) and the dark parts of the image (shadows) are the details that are clearly visible, the image as a whole being neither extremely dark or extremely bright with a moderate range of contrast -- showing objects as they would appear in normal daylight.
When calculated with scientifically correctness, says Hilmar Mehnert, "the photographic normal style is that type of style where the objects in a scene are illuminated with equal reflectance ... relative to a natural light source of approximately the same luminance."
