Worm's Eye View
In order to depict a scene with different tones there are several angles DPs may call upon. Though most scene are shot at eye level, that is from the perspective of a normal standing or sitting position. In order to give the impression of strength, size and awe, you can shoot from below a subject making them/it look imposing.
By contrast, the bird's eye view shot provides a true overview, but also a superior POV as the viewer looks down through the camera to the actor below.
