A mark is a point on the floor of the set or stage that indicates where actors must position themselves in relation to the camera, its movements and angles and the lighting setup. The mark is often as an "x" stuck on the floor with black tape, or even a small sandbag as an indicator to the actor where to stand and deliver lines.
