Method Acting / Method
The term Method refers to the acting and preparation technique developed by Lee Strasberg, and first introduced by the Russian Actor and his Stanislavski-System. Elia Kazan was also a student of with Strasberg founded the "Actor's Studio" in New York in 1947. Here the world famous "Method" Acting technique was practiced in the 1950s. Marlon Brando helped make the technique famous with his performance in "Streetcar Named Desire" by Tennessee Williams, also a Method student -- see also Lee Strasberg.
