In a film, light can elicit feelings like threat, warmth, nature etc. Using Spotlights, Filters and Beams of Light many different lighting design possibilities are available. Of course the most natural of lighting sources is from the sky above. A light shining from below can create a threatening, disquieting feeling that increases suspense. Colored light also plays an important role in Lighting Design. Blue light, for example offers a feeling of coolness, while golden light feels warmer.
