Causal Montage (Fast Cutting)
One of the most important an basic tenets of film editing, where two shots, A and B, are bound by a causal relationship. The first shot (A) shows the cause of a situation and (B) shows the subsequent result.
For example, INSERT A, shot of an "Automobile Fuel Gage on Empty." And B Pull Back to show the car sputtering to a halt.
