Animator
A computer specialist who animates cartoon characters, that is to say creates movement. For example, creates the basic movements of characters with the help of computer generated film sequences. In subsequent steps the character's movements are refined making the final animated character more lifelike.
The position of Animation Artist is now known as a 2-D animator, whereas a three dimensional Animator (3-D Cartoons) are generated by 3-D or also CGI Animators.
At public and private Art or Film schools you can study to be an Animator. It is also often the case that people without a traditional art/ drawing education work as Animators, a large measure concerns talent and self-taught animation software skills (e.g. 3dsMax, Cinema4D, ZBrush).
