Black Humor describes the treatment of subject matter normally regarded as serious or macabre; these might include subjects such as crime, disease and death in a satirical or deliberately trivial way. Black humor is not infrequently the subject of controversy, which involves the question whether one can make fun of certain things and where the boundaries of good taste lie. This is particularly true of religious and sexual issues.
