Scanning & Recording
In spite of the domination of digital camera technology in contemporary film industry, various filmmakers still swear by the quality of analog (celluloid) film; Digital editing and post-production however have become the general, irreversible industry standard. „Scanning“ refers to the neccessary process of having one’s film material scanned for later digital post production. Film recording in turn refers to the transformation of the finished digital data back to the analog level.
