Glossary: Rough Draft

The rough draft of a script is a preliminary version of a story that is not fully developed. It is expected that major changes to the script will Take place in this phase of development. The term "rough cut" also refers in German to an initial edited version of the film, before the film is finally edited into a Final Cut. Or Final Draft in regards to a screenplay.
