The Extreme Long Shot offers a panoramic landscape view of the context of the film. People or objects look small even seeming to vanish. It is often used as an Establishing Shot. This setting can convey feelings such as loneliness, isolation, alienation and / or risk and is suitable for showing the expanse of a landscape as well as when persons or vehicles enter the frame across a distance.
