Glossary: Casting

The process of auditioning and selecting actors to play the specified roles in a Film or TV production. Casting largely takes place during Pre-production. Casting is essentially the same as it is done in the Theatre. The Casting process is undertaken by a Casting Agent normally in close cooperation with Talent Agent(s) representing Actors.
