To Break Down a scene means to identify the individual elements that comprise what the camera Frames. The Break Down is usually done by the Director, Cinematographer and Assistant Director before shooting. This serves as the foundation for a "shot list" and offers a closer cost calculation for completion of the scene. The "Film Scene Break Down" provides the basis for production decisions like camera angles, -distance, - movement regarding how the scene should play.
