Continuity is a dramaturgical term that indicates whether the continuation of a film matches past scenes in terms of content and aesthetics. The Script/Continuity is the first line of control responsible for keeping track of key details over multiple takes, for example, the actor's costume, makeup, hair and important elements of the scenery, props that might otherwise disturb continuity should they not match from Take to Take.
