Glossary: Fitting (Costume)

During a fitting, also called a Costume fitting, the actors try for the first time the costumes tailored or purchased for their corresponding roles. This offers them the opportunity, during pre-production, to inhabit the skin of the character and to adapt themselves to the role. when necessary, the costume designer makes minor alterations and matches the outfit with suitable accessories.
